About Nusa Berri
Nusa means ‘island’ in Indonesian. After my visit to an Island called Nusa Penida, Indonesia in April 2019. I fell in love with the rich greenery of the island trees, the aqua-blue waters and the animal-like cliff structure. This visit served as the primary inspiration for my personal brand project, Nusa Berri.
Berri comes from my surname of ‘Berry’. I changed the ‘y’ to an ‘i’ like my family ancestor, who did the same to their surname.
Drawing inspiration from my love of travel, I incorporate repurposed materials into my artwork and jewellery, thereby creating sustainable pieces.
Currently, I am hosting upcycled jewellery making workshops where I teach the basics of creating wire loops, attaching jump rings, and adding a necklace clasp. All upcycled materials like beads and pearls are provided to create fabulous creations.
Please take a look at my portfolio! It features some gorgeous laser-cut accessories and beaded jewellery, as well as my graduate collections. I'm really proud of it and would love for you to see it.
